Queerness Every Day Challenge is for you if...
You’re someone who is just getting started on your queer/trans journey, even if you feel like you’re not out enough, don’t have enough experience, or are afraid.
You see others who are confident in living their queerness loud and proud and you’re worried you just can’t do that (even if you want to).
You ARE living out your queerness, but feel like there could be more… more expression, more taking up space, more connection to the queer sacred.
You want to figure out how to have your queerness all over your life, in big and small ways.
You know how to have a good time and support others on their journey, too!

A week of queerness every day looks like:
Daily email
❤️ Each day, you’ll get a love letter from us in your email inbox introducing you to that day’s challenge task.
Do your task
🧡 You’ll follow the daily prompt and do the challenge task, using inspiration and ideas from Brian and Fr. Shay.
Post your task
💛 Once you’ve done your task, you’ll post it on that day’s challenge thread on the private Queer Theology Facebook group for the challenge!
Connect
💚 Then, spend a few minutes browsing other people’s challenge posts and leaving comments to create connections.
Just a few minutes a day!
💙 It’s the best possible boost for your day, and each task will only take a few minutes!
Community
💜 It’s a big fun party in the Queer Theology group with lots of fun connections the whole week! Proof that you don’t have to do your Queer & Faithful life alone!
Hey! We're the duo behind QueerTheology.com!
Brian and Fr. Shay met in New York and after a year of being “friend of a friend,” we became long-distance best friends after Shay moved to Minnesota.
We started this project because we were so tired of the conversation around LGBTQ people and Christianity being stuck in “Is it ok?”
There is so much more to being queer than defending against all the horrible things haters say about us!
We believe that queerness is sacred and not just that, that LGBTQ+ people have much-needed insights into the divine.
The world NEEDS the holy wisdom that only you can bring.
We’re committed to helping your light shine bright ✨
We don’t think anyone has to be Christian — in fact, after decades as a queer Christian, Brian converted to Judaism! — but we believe with our whole heart that there is a place for LGBTQ people within Christianity. Fr. Shay is an ordained priest in the Old Catholic Church!
Our work is centered around helping you heal from religious-based harm and to build a faith life and spiritual practices that are grounded in your values, connected to your communities and higher power, and that radiate queerness.
We’re so glad you’re here!
